My name is Diamond Robinson and I’m undergraduate student at the University of Memphis pursuing a degree in Public Relations. All my life I have been intrigued by the people behind what we see and what we know about media, public figures, brands, and industries, and that is what drew me to PR.

Growing up in a small town in New Jersey, left me searching for a wider understanding of the world. Throughout several major changes where I felt things just didn’t fit, I found PR. The broad scope of what you can do and learn made me want to pursue the ever changing industry.

In public relations new ideas, fresh takes, and an open mind are essential. The unique perspective I’ve gained throughout my life as a Black queer woman allows me to see the world in ways others may not. My goal is to create messages that make members of my community and others feel seen, heard and valued in the world they live in.
